::inspiring Mondays::

Ipanema

I wanted to be laying on the beach late afternoon and watch the sun go down from Ipanema beach. Clearly, this was not the sort of late afternoon I had this Monday. Today I had a rubbish day; not calamity rubbish, just rubbish in the way that people without real problems have rubbish days. To end this Monday though, I had the most wonderful chat with two of my best friends, M & E

As I started our conversation, I completely forgot my day and it all seemed so little and unimportant that I can barely remember what it was about. We had so much to catch up on and share and talk about and giggle about and stare at each other over that amazing little thing that is skype. I didn't learn a new fact about me today, nor will I share a long known piece of information about LMJ which I've always known; today I'll tell you that I am one lucky little Joey to have such an amazing group of people in my life. And today, it was precisely what I needed!

:: M&E on skype
:: skype!
:: burnt turkey steak that never made it to be lunch. it's the gesture.
:: chocolate from appreciative visitors.
:: my morning walk.
:: a warm cosy matchbox to come home to in cold days.
:: egyptian cotton.
:: chamomile tea.
:: haagen dazs strawberry cheesecake. lush!

Is it cold where you are? We're really feeling the pinch here in the UK! How did this Monday treat you? Hope you're smiling away with the beginning of yet another week :)

    And oh, your Egyptian cotton :)
    That cheesecake sounds delicious, never tried it. Thanks to suggest it.

    See/hear you soon!
    Sweet dreams to you dear!

    PS: it's freezing cold in Belgium. But love this sort of weather: then you realize even more the luxury of having a warm home ... Fireplace scent, apple cinnamon tea, a fleece blanket, a good book ... and more opportunities to accessorize colourfully, because you have to when going outside ;)

  4. Well looking at this marvellous photo I can see why you'd rather be on that beach.

    My Monday has also ended well with the resurrection of my home cinema system (subject to a few shelving and wiring problems!) First film: This is England, which for some reason I've never seen before. Not a bad one for the 'premiere'.

  5. My Monday would be just like the photo... If I hadn't to work (and you were still here).

    But it was a good Monday anyway. As good as it could be. :)

  6. I had a busy Monday morning. my mother dragged me to the Lidl opening hours because of some great boots that weren't there. so I bought sneakers instead. I was still asleep and we had to ask for a taxi to come home. my medication leaves me numb. but I'm not complaining, it's a bliss. so I came home and went back to bed until noon, when I had to leave again to go see my shrink. ate cheese pizza for lunch, which is always a good thing. talked to my sister on the phone. took and edited some photos. and today I've to go to the post office (have a few giveaways to send) but it's raining and I'm not so thrilled to get wet. but a girl got to do what a girl got to do, right ;)

    a Cléo agradece os beijinhos no narizinho. é a maior ronronadeira da casa. e a mais felpuda. um apetite :)

    xxo
